WHO: All children from Grades 1 through 10 are invited to register.

HOW: All students must register each year. Register online HERE.

NECESSARY INFORMATION: Any child wishing to make his/her First Communion must have completed one year of religious instruction and be baptized.  All First Communion candidates must provide a baptismal certificate if he/she was not baptized at St. Paul.  Please list any medications, special needs, or learning problems on the registration form.  This information can help us provide a comfortable environment for your child.

WHEN: We offer families both Wednesday and Sunday classes, however, the day you choose must be kept for the balance of the program year.

Classes are held on Wednesday afternoon for Grades 1 through 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Classes are held on Sunday morning for Grades 1 through 6 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Classes are held on Sunday evening for Grades 7 and 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Classes are held on selected Sunday evening for Grades 9 and 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Summer Blast! (Grade 6 in the Fall) will be held June 17-19, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The Grade 6 "Summer Blast!" program is a St. John-St. Paul collaborative program for students entering Grade 6 in the Fall. Successful completion of “Summer Blast!” will fulfill religious education requirements for the upcoming school year.

WHERE: All Grade 1-8 classes are held in classrooms in the Parish Hall and lower church.  Grade 9-10 class schedule and locations TBA - please visit our Collaborative Confirmation Program page for more information.

CONFIRMATION: Our Collaborative Confirmation Program is designed as a two-year commitment which begins in the Fall of ninth grade and is usually completed by the Spring of tenth grade. Individuals enrolled in a Catholic school may be exempt from attending the first year. (Students attending Catholic Schools are not required to attend 9th grade classes, but must register - tuition fee does not apply.)

The program utilizes a curriculum that will be centered on the students’ participation at Mass. It will be a requirement of the program that students attend Mass regularly. The Mass, supplemented with classroom work driven by the Dynamic Catholic curriculum, will be at the center of preparation for Confirmation. Our hope is that this full, active participation in the liturgy, the source and summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed, will give our young people a lived connection to Christ Jesus and the community of the Church.

For more information please visit our Collaborative Confirmation Program page.

A special program is offered at St. Paul for families whose children (ages 10-18) have not received the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation.  A period of religious education is offered during the regular instruction time on Sundays, 10:10-11:15 a.m.  For more information, contact Kathleen Curley in the Religious Education Office at 781-235-5012.
