First Communion/Confirmation Information
First Communion and First Reconciliation
First Communion preparation is part of our second grade curriculum. However, any child over the age of seven years is allowed to prepare for First Communion. Children wishing to make his/her First Communion must have completed one year of religious instruction and be baptized. All First Communion candidates must provide a baptismal certificate if he/she was not baptized at St. Paul or St. John Parish. Part of this preparation includes the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This Sacrament is received in January. All students must have received this Sacrament before First Communion.

The Confirmation program is a two year program for students in 9th and 10th grade. Confirmation 1 & 2 process is completed, ordinarily in the 10th grade. Classes begin in January and continue for 12 weeks ( 8 classes and 4 Teen Masses). Students attending Catholic Schools are not required to attend 9th grade classes, but must register (tuition fee does not apply). All 10th grade students, including Catholic School students, must register and attend classes.
The program consists of class meetings, worship, guest speakers, service (such as parish volunteering, food drives, fundraising for special causes), and a Confirmation Retreat. For more information contact Kathy Curley at 781-235-5012 or firstname.lastname@example.org
